The Blues lesson #2 white boy blues..... is it possible?

Anyone remember monday nights at the original King-King on La Brea? The Red Devils tore the house up every monday; Mick Jagger freaked on them and had to record with them; they were touring big all over europe and japan where they appreciate american roots music. Lester Butler, the singer/harp player gets his high on before a show at Phil Alvin`s house, nods off and while they`re waiting for him to comeback to go play, he dies. The Red Devils are a super-band of who`s who in los angeles music seen. Their first album, live at King- King will freak you out. buy this cd.

Enjoyed browsing through your excellent blog... I remember King -King very well. Sunday nights was the jazzhead night, DJ's dropping Blue Note and Impulse tracks for people to dance to. It worked until the spoken word hipsters showed up...
