Joe....

it`s been almost 6 years since strummer died...... i got several calls about it and they all sounded so surreal, the last call made it reality......he was coming out after the holidays for a bit of fun out in palm springs, bugging kids at local record stores and asking them what cd`s he should buy to hear something new...... none of those kids knowing they were talking to joe strummer. running out of vodka and joe jumping on a beat up bike to go get me more and coming back 3 hours later with the craziest stories..........convincing the mexican restuarant owner to keep the place open for us because we had very important things going on and to keep the pitchers of margaritas coming, and the guy did until 6:00 a.m. our wives were kinda pissed, they thought we were all dead on the side of the road in the middle of the desert.........good times.
