i woke up very early last week in palm desert to find something new and someone told me to check out the beaumont flea market on sunday.....sure, why not. the sun was out but the winds were blowing around 50 miles per hour. i took off west towards beaumont and came upon the largest blackest storm i`ve seen in along time. there was alot of electricity in the air and after checking a bunch of old trailer parks in the area i tripped onto the flea market. it was cold and windy with black skies bringing rain when out of the corner of my eye i focus in on this piece of mid century/ jackson pollack era beauty.
1959.................
the colors popped, it had the same drip texture like pollock used with car paint...........thick and layered to perfection....very original frame of the era........ `how much?` `$15` `will you take $10?`.......`sure, this painting is probably worth thousands!`......the beauty in going to desert tweeker flea markets, momma`s gotta buy the crack, daddy`s waitin`.................. it is so beautiful
