When I was a kid my dad promised me that on my 16th birthday he was going to give me his 1950 Willy's flat fender Jeep. It was orange with a 302 and a muncie 4 speed. He bought it when he was 18 and used to tear up Pismo it it when he was in college. I learned how to drive in it. I couldn't wait. Then he crashed it when I was 15 . Not wanting to disappoint me, he found a 69 el camino super sport with a 396, factory orange with the black ss stripes. It was kind of hammered but it was my first car. I will never forget it. It wasn't the car that was the most important to me, it was the fact that he made me a promise and didn't let me down. Happy new year Nash!!
Though I've never had the pleasure of seeing it in person, it's one of my favorite bikes...I have snatched many a photo of it off the interweb and it has inspired me in building my pre-unit. As sad as I am to see you let it go, I'm sure you'll do something even more incredible next.
PS- I've been looking for a trials tire like that front 23", I know it's a Cheng Shen, but I can't find one in a 19, any tips are appreciated!
thanks...........justin, there are all kinds of trials tires on ebay. i saw a shinko 2.75x19 trials tire listed right now. there are wider ones on auction also. good luck.
Thanks for the tip, man. I grabbed it. I wish they made a Dunlop D803 in a 19", but I'm more than stoked on the Shinko you turned me on to. Appreciate it!
I'm glad to see your keeping the tank. Whatcha building next??? I'm planning on coming out for the born free show and can't wait to do some riding out there.
