J.D. Salinger 1/1/1919-1/27/2010 R.I.P.
When i was thirteen years old i found this book that everyone was talking about in st. john`s library........ this kid slowly having a breakdown......cuss words in the book..............people not getting him..............not really getting other people or the world.............. i have an original 1st edition hardback copy in my literary collection. this book turned me on to the beauty of the written word.......i`ve been hooked ever since.Salinger has been hiding most of his life from the "outer" world.......he had a handful of brillant books to his credit and i treasure them all. "Catcher was written in 1951 and his last article was in 1965. his last interveiw was in 1980. that sounds like a big FUCK YOU folks. Nine Stories, Franny and Zooey, Raise High the Roofbeam, Carpenters and Seymour: and Introduction: read these other books.
There are some great stories written about him. his life was pretty incredible. this is the first real hurt of the new year. i rest............Thursday, January 21, 2010

this is gonna be even more amazing then the first one. i`m getting fired up (or as fired up as i can get), for some of the folks that are coming out for this. it`s gonna be fun. this year though, no one from the chicago area is allowed to be here without special permission. you know who you are.....(josh and brian)
